This Fashion Revolution Week, Fashion Revolution Open Studio invites you to a programme to see inside the research & development and innovation of the Small but Perfect cohort of designers.
A series of physical and digital events will showcase the work of some of the 28 small design businesses across Europe highlighting their transition to circular business models.
Small But Perfect is a 30-month accelerator programme involving 28 small and medium businesses developing a range of solutions for the fashion industry to reduce its impact on the environment with new materials, recycling, upcycling, resale, rental, regeneration and repairs.

ATLAS OF SUSTAINABLE COLOURS WEBINAR
Colourosity: mapping the impact of sustainable dyes
Online Webinar with The Atlas of Sustainable Colour, Vienna Textile Lab and Martina Spetlova
What is the impact of colour? In the industry that mostly uses conventional dyes and methods, there is an emerging movement of alternative colour makers. How do their creations fit into the current system? A storyteller, a dyer and a designer will share their insights into sustainable dyeing.
STUDIO SARMITE x ROUA ATELIER
Latvian designer Sarmite Polakova x Roua Atelier show their work in progress focusing on transforming industry waste and various byproducts into new high-quality materials that can be brought back to the market. Studio Sarmite x Roua Atelier are part of the 2-day showroom at Lab E20 and will be taking part in the forum discussion to present her work.
EVAMOSO: Making a Sustainable Fashion Brand fit for Growth in 2023: From a small business founder perspective.
Join us for a presentation covering how we decided to change our approach in order to stay running in 2023. Join founder Jennifer Thiel at the Lab E20 showroom to see the changes she is making. Evamoso is part of the 2-day showroom at Lab E20 and will be taking part in the forum discussion to present her work.
PATCHWORK FAMILY: The Patchwork Family goes to London
Patchwork Family will show the work of 9 designers through an immersive fashion show at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club and will be showing the collections at the Lab E20 Showroom. The collective is part of the 2-day showroom at Lab E20 and will be taking part in the forum discussion to present their work teaching upcycling techniques.
SICA - SCREENING: SICA Weaving Workshop for Cultural Sustainability
This workshop event in Berlin will feature Simone Simonato speaking about Cultural Sustainability and the development of Cultural Sustainability Policy developed with the project partner CIPRI. Join for a 2,5h hands on upcycling weaving workshop and a 10 min screening of the short document: “Once There Were Rivers”
PLANET OF THE GRAPES: Under Her Vines
Meet Planet of the Grapes founder Samantha Mureau to see samples of the grape 'leather' she has been developing and hear about her R&D. Planet of the Grapes will be part of the 2-day Lab E20 Showroom and will be presenting her work as part of the discussion forum 'Not just another buzzword' on April 27th.
LOOM: Introducing Loom
Introducing fashion tech start up Loom. Some of Loom's designers will be there to introduce how the process works, as well as a video filming the journey of several customers from start to finish. Founder Daisy Harvey will be part of the 2-day Lab E20 Showroom and will be presenting her work as part of the discussion forum 'Not just another buzzword' on April 27th.
EDIS: Upcycling and mending with EDIS X UMAMADE.
Online workshop, with UMAMADE, where people can learn how to mend clothes with beautiful but simple embroidery - using different stitch types. Bring thread, needle and a damaged piece of clothing or a bit of fabric. Uma will teach how to embroider over the damage to extend the life of your clothes.
SOLOSTUECKE: The smartest loop - Piloting smart loop collaborations between design for disassembly stakeholders in one value chain
We will run a communication campaign during Fashion Revolution week, in which we showcase the website and tools we have created and give first time access to the sale of leftover trimmings as part of our R & D project.
Upcoming-Events
MONKIND: Live Fixing and Preloving!
During Fashion Revolution Week we will be live repairing and upcycling customer's old MONKIND clothes! Our team of fixers and makers will be sewing and fixing live in our store in Berlin-Schöneberg, as well as discussing and promoting to customers our new sustainable strategies moving forward in 2023.
